Cornerstone Baptist Church was started in 1999 as a mission work from the Oak Hill Baptist Church in Somerset, Kentucky.  Pastor Gary Phelps and his wife, Carolyn, were called of God to start this work and would see it grow over the next 7 years from a handful of faithful members to over 125 member.

In March of 2006, Pastor Greg Carr and his family were called to Cornerstone to continue the work Pastor Phelps had started.  In that time, the church has continued to grow and be faithful to the work of the Gospel.
